I have this bouncy rattle that seem to be coming from the driver footwell. It happens whenever I hit small bumps at slow speeds. The video I attached was recorded by placing my phone next to the driver pedals. I also recorded a video where I attached a camera to the front driver control arm, but the rattle was not audible at all. I do notice there is some play on the handle used to open the hood latch, so I’m not sure if that could be causing the rattle. The car drives perfectly fine, and I dont notice anything loose suspension wise. Any ideas?

Check your top strut nut. Also, do you have jacking rails? If so, check that they are tight.

I will need to buy a tool to tighten the top strut nut, but it seems to be tight. And I don’t have jacking rails. I’m not sure where else to look for the issue.

With respect to the top nut, just use an impact wrench.

But if it feels tight then it's probably not that.

Get the car off the ground and check for play in the front sway bar links.

Thats what I thought, but I replaced the sway bar links, and nothing changed.

Hmm I dont think so because the noise doesn’t happen when I am driving on a smooth road or at high speed. It happens when I hit bumps at slow speeds

At higher speeds the high centrifugal forces would keep any loose object pinned to the barrel of the wheel.

When going slow, a bump may be enough to dislodge it and make the noise.

Easy enough to check by jacking up that corner and spinning the wheel.

Sure, I will give it a try. I will let you know.

Tried it, and there was no noise coming from inside the tire. i also looked at the joints and bushing for the sway bar, sway bar links, lower control arms, tie rod and strut, and it all looked good. No clue what it is, maybe a small rock that got in between some panels?
