Apologize if this has been discussed - search is down and I need an answer pretty quick.

Scenario: pumpkin is leaking around the edges. Visual inspection looks like no cracks.

Asked for estimate from local shop to reseal/refill pumpkin and install the Billetflow brace.

$369+tax. (sounds like a bit much to me)

Wanted to get any/all thoughts - particularly from any mechanics out there or anyone who has been through this.

Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Pete

to do it right you need to remove the axles, remove the catback, driveshaft, and the pumkin itself. I've heard of guys being able to reseal the cover in car without removing axles but most shops will remove the whole thing to do it. so the price is probably about right! if it were a solid rear it would be a piece of cake and price would reflect accordingly. I recommend they use Grey Ford diesel silicone. very good stuff!

Thanks guys for the input...

Any other thoughts regarding the price for the amount of work?

Appreciate it,
Pete
