I have a deposit on some Recaro LXB seats. Trying to source some brackets now. It looks like Planted brand are the only decent universal seat brackets available. Anyone know of a different bracket (that's hopefully cheaper)?

When I got bought mine I started looking for seat brackets but couldn't find any other then planted or sparco. You can modify corbeau brackets but it's going to raise the seat. Don't forget your going to need sliders too.

I was able to mount a set of the Summit Racing seats directly to my stock rails/sliders. Might be worth waiting for your seats to arrive and see if that's an options before buying a bunch more stuff you may not need.

I found out the hard way that you should have the parts in hand before you order any accessories unless you are odering all the parts at the same time from the same supplier.

There's not a whole lot to choose from but I ended up ordering NRG mounts. The were like $200 for the pair vs almost $400 for Planted. Hopefully they're decent. The Recaros are coming with sliders, so I should be all set.

Fingers crossed for you that they all work together. Send pics when you’re installing/finished, looking forward to seeing how it looks.

Thanks, the NRG mounts unexpectedly arrived today. They look alright. Probably be a couple weeks before the seats come in but I'll post some pics when it's done.

Where did you end up ordering the Recaros from? I'm in the market around the end of the year and evaluating different vendors.

A guy on FB out of Malaysia, lol. I'll post pics and details assuming I actually get them and it's all legit (made a down payment so far). It's been a good experience with the guy so far and the pictures of his work look outstanding....so fingers crossed.

Recaroseatsforsale? He's legit. I've talked with several people who have ordered from him.

I got my seats and finally found some time to get them installed. Am I missing something or are these seats brackets f'ed up? They're not even close to level/flat. These are the NRG brand. Does anyone happen to have a picture of Planted brackets installed?

No experience with them but it looks like the flange was just over bent. I would run the nut home and I bet they flatten out for you.

More importantly where's pictures of the seats?

I concur with the above. Alternatively, heat them and adjust the bend in a vice if you desire.

Also interested in pics of the seats.

Seat pics are coming! They look really good. I'll try to get some tonight.

I'm kind of pissed about these brackets now. They're supposedly stainless steel so I don't know if they'll bend without popping a weld. And the welds aren't totally confidence inspiring. I might try to return them and just get the Planted made in USA. The damn seat sliders the guy send also don't seem to line up with the seat....See pics below of the bracket welds

Here are pics of Planted brackets with Recaro sliders and bases that should be same bolt pattern as your LXBs. Fit is excellent in SN95, but if it costs you to return yours and they seem rigid, brackets of any manufacturer are fairly simple pieces and easy to tweak as needed. And they’re thick enough to easily weld if you don’t trust the factory welds on yours.
