Remove pilot bearing whan going auto?

So my question to all the auto swap guy's. Do you need to remove the pilot bearing on the 4.6l for the torque converter snout?. When going from manual trans to auto trans.

I read that you do and have removed it already with a blind hole slide hammer. Just want to make sure I don't need it.

And yes I know, when is not spelled whan.

Yes you have to remove it for the torque converter to fit .

Pilot bearing is only for manual trans with input shaft.
