Removing Side Baffles question

I know many have removed the side dump exhaust baffles to get more sound.

When you remove them, do you need to put in any type of gasket in their place, or just bolt it backup as is?

Baffles came out of mine 1 hour after I picked up the car in October 2011, haven’t been in since.

just bolt the two pipes back together, no gasket.
