I am looking to getting a set of centerline Qualifiers or Eliminators in 17x7 and 17x??, but am unsure of what rim and what height tire to use for the rear.

I am only stock block, 6lb lower, ported, JLP cai, 2800 Circle D, full weight. About 430/500 on the dyno. Currently I have 305/45/18 MT ET Streets on stock 18's.

If I go 17x9.5, does a 325/45R17 (28") M&H tire work?
Or would it be too much to go to 17x11 and run the massive 390 M&H (29.5"), with the extra height and width.

I am interested so much on the height due to the effect it has on et and rt as I race quite a bit in a bracket and index class. I am hoping the lighter rim and tire combo will allow me to pick up in my et more than I would lose if I went with the 390 tire being so much taller. I just don't want the 390 to be too much for my power level and not hook, or be a burden.

For the fronts I was thinking either Goodyear Assurance 235/60/17's (28") or the 235/65/17's (29").

Any ideas???

I run Bridgestone ecopia ep-02 195/80r16 on 16x5 steel rim for fronts and Hoosier quick time pros 14.50x16 on steel 16x10.25 rim in rear. Both are 28" tall tires.
