I did too... proportions look strange. Too much overhang on front and rear. The front end is too big and exaggerated and the headlights are too far apart. Interior looks nice and the trunk is bigger. That's just how I see it. I don't know who finalizes the decisions in design but their vision is off a little or something. The car only looks okay at certain angles.

I saw my first one yesterday was driving my 92 GT and stopped at a rental car place it was sitting right by the road. I do not mind the back end, interior looks nice, but I'm still unsure about the front end and overall how I like it. I really liked the 13-14's It may grow on me though when the 99's first came out I didn't care for it as much as the 94-98 but like the New Edge body-style more now then the 94-98. I also didn't care for the C7's but I'm starting to like them, I still like the C6Z better though.

The only heritage I could find was in the rear tail lights and the interior dash, other than that a total wash. It looks like an akward lovechild of the Camaro and the Fiesta.

Lol! Yeah i guess this is the outcome when you try to make an American icon more "European". Strangeness.

I've never had a car "grow on me" - it's not a Pearl Jam album that you have to listen to 4 times to start to like. Cars that are awesome make me lose rational thought and justify spending ridicolous amounts of money. This one made me mildly embarrassed to have a car that is somewhat associated with it - though distant.

Such a watered down introduction to Europe too, what a shame. The good news is i'm pretty sure this new edition will solidify the Boss/Shelby value.

I haven't seen one up close but they look ok from a distance. The only thing I can't stand is the rear. I'm excited to look at one but I don't have any "will" to grab one.

How was the fox body, SN or New edge heritage?

the 10-14 was awful in the back end extended's for a mile so how is the 15 so bad since it has basically the same proportions?

This is exactly what my thoughts were when I saw one for the first time at the AM show in Pa. this summer.

Individual tastes vary. I thought the back end looked great on the later models of the last version. Dealer up the street here got a 15 in the other day and I am not sure how I feel about it.

Stopped by a Ford dealer yesterday. They had two 15's parked next to a fusion.

Nice car, interior is very nice. Exterior I'm not sold on.

I stopped to look at one yesterday and I thought it looks like the best looking designed Mustang to date. But we know the saying, opinions are like assholes... we all got one.

However, they wanted 38k which I would never pay for a GT. It didn't even have a performance package.

I'm sure it will grow on most of us who currently aren't too fond of it. That and generally the V6s look the worst.`

Saw one the other day at a dealer, though by the time I had a change to go back they had closed and parked them all inside.

Except for the fact that "american icon" was actually based on european design from the start (the 64 was based on a jag).

Excellent post.

That foxbody heritage that looked like the love child of a taurus and escort. People talk shit about the new mustangs "fusion" front end, but its not the first stang to associate itself with another lineup.

To me, im glad the 15's went the direction they did. IMO the '15 should have been what we got in 2005. Not some watered down guppy looking retro faggotry that did nothing but make mustang styling stale and obtuse for the next decade, while other brands/manufacturers offered far better looking cars and didnt have to go "retro" because they ran out of ideas or a styling team.

I'm really upset that the 2015 doesn't run a 10 second 1/4 and beat $250,000 exotics on the track. I'm also mad that all mustangs now cost $46,000. Ridiculous. Worst Mustang ever. I'm going to buy a 1978 Mustang instead. Those cars are beasts.

Built to compete in the market. Not just based on a Jaguar. Same thing they are trying to do now pretty much.
