With my newely built block, I'm planning on running a 10lb lower with the soon-to-be-purchased Whipple. So I called up Mark at LFP and bought a new 10lb ring, a couple 100mm idlers and one sexy-ass black, single blade throttle body!

I know a lot of guys like the Accufab TB, but I think the LFP throttle body is downright sexy. In my opinion LFP's looks a whole lot better, plus this baby outflows the Accufab model, and on top of all that, it costs less than the Accufab!

That's a win-win-win purchase if you ask me!

'Scuze the fingerprints all over it! I was man-handling this thing, checking out how solidly it's built! And no, I didn't make the WOT sound whenever I manipulated the throttle plate open! ;-)

I can't wait to get my Whipple bolted-on, along with this wide mouth beasty!

Looks good Stewart!

I've been thinking about swapping out my Accufab for that very same LFP model.

Should look killer with the black Whipple.:coolman:

I completely agree with Stan.

Stewart, send me your LFP throttle body and I'll put it on my Whipple and take a picture for everyone to see. I'll PM you with my shipping address.

It will add some throttle response to your setup pewter99_trans... Stan

I would think that the faster the inlet air speed the better the throttle response. If this is the case, the stocker should have better response but would flow less and therefore have less power at the top end than a single blade. Am I thinking wrong here?

In a naturally aspirated engine - yes, but with the SBTB, the airflow can be drawn quicker in a supercharged engine. Total airflow will still be limited by the combination.

Eric, hold off on that shipping addy bro, I should have my Whip on within a couple weeks...hopefully as soon as this coming weekend (fingers crossed)...so I won't need to ship this baby out to you! ;-)

Stan, that scratch was already there. Even so, I was still keenly aware someone would probably mention it, so I took care to crop it out of the other photos, but in that shot, there was no way. I shoulda figured you'd be the one to mention it...either you, or Chris, or Mike! :bash: :-D

Bob, once Billy completes my build, with the long tubes, heads, cams, etc, I'll see what boost I'm putting out with that 10lb lower and go from there.

Ideally I'd like to be around 18lbs for my daily driven work truck.

Viag...err, I mean Cialis, I ordered mine over a week ago. I was in Oregon for five days though, so I'm just now posting up because I just got to see it myself for the first time and had to share with my L brothers!

Pictures with the Whip will be posted ASAP!

18# on a DD app. is gonna be a trick to keep together. That's a lot of boost for pump gas, especially 91, what kind of tune is he going to put in it?
