Anybody had a synchronizer replaced? How much would this cost? I'm going to get a new clutch and tob at the same time.

Second gear seems pretty good now that the weather has warmed a bit.

What fluid do you run? I doubted it would make much different but my Amsoil ATF swap was a nice surprise upgrade. Cold shifting silky with the swap.

Change your fluid. Do a little reading. There are a number of fluids with positive reports. I used Mobil 1.

There's certainly a difference with fluid temp when shifting. I was thinking a bout adding a little more, but don't want to make a mess if it pukes it over. I'm certain we need lighter, thinner fluid for these. my second gear has me so disgusted compared to my 03 terminator. I could slap it down in second shifting as sloppy as possible and it would fall into place even at 7000 rpm.

I only have a second gear shift issue at outside temps below 50 or so, and it gets better when the car warms.

I'll definitely change fluid when I replace my clutch and TOB if you guys think it's a plus.
