Ditto! IMO he did everything humanly possible to try to de-escalate the situation and get the guy the help he needed. Thankfully he survived and the officer survived. Hopefully he'll get the mental health help that he desperately needs. Probably not enough, though. Mental health issues (unattended) are rampant today.
