shaker... Is it a joke??

not sure? What do you guys think. I kinda feel that at speed air is blowing down the shaker, through the filter through the fender pickup and out. I'm sure some air is being picked up and I'm sure it's cool, but I doubt there is any advantage to the stock ram air from a pressure stand point. The shaker feed and the fender feed line up pretty well. I doubt the air flows in such away that it actually makes it into the engine?? I wonder...:shrug:

a number of guys have plugged the fender inlet with a plumbers bung or similar and gotten a mile an hour or 2.

I think the shaker is plenty functional, it doesnt all go out the fender.

I agree it does something to help but it would be better to plug the fender hole then not. Thanks.

Trevor...You may want to check out www.Mach1Registry.com if you haven't already...

Several owners have tried this with negative results...plus quite a few good threads about it and other info...including Scott Hoag discussing the design and function of the shaker setup...
