This past weekend I was driving through Nashville and all of a sudden the transmission just popped out of gear. It only did it if i was in 5th or 6th. Then it started getting hard to get it out of 5th and shift into 6th like the clutch wasn't fully engaged. I have a DFX clutch that only has about 5000 miles on it and no track runs. I recently put in a new clutch cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster. Anyone ever run into this problem or have any ideas what might be causing this????

I still have a little room to adjust it but not alot. I'll try that tomorrow
My Centerforce Dual Friction in my supercharged 96 Cobra stopped disengaging. I"d roll forward at red lights and it was stiff to shift into any gear. When it got pulled out, the disc was fine, the PP must have gone bad. That's my guess. The trans itself was fine, I had my builder tear it down and he found nothing.
BTW...that only had 10,000 miles on it. A couple track runs, but no clutch dumps, big burnouts or power shifting. I went to the track for fun, I wasn't too serious.
