with nearly 87k on the truck and stiff springs the stock bilsteins afe feeling bouncy. i am in the market for new dampners but want a more road race oriented shock not drag race.
i am running the old lightning spec hotchkis springs front and rear aka new harley spec springs, drop knuckles up front, and shackles in the rear. i will also be adding the helwig sway bars at the same time. i feel if i added them now it would overwhelm the current shocks even more.
options so far are;
QA1's- have heard mixed reviews about longevity and excuses from QA1 that they have been re designed, prices aredecent from paradice (i think?)
vari shock- look almost identical to qa1's, only person i have heard is using them is ian aka pitstain as they are in his shock waves, he claimed they were quality far beyond qa1, prices are compareable to qa1's and even slightly cheaper.
custom bilstiens- =bux$$, but im almost sure i would have a great product.
