My cobra is currently pushing close to 600 rwhp I'm on stock irs and rear differential someone in town had just the lower control arm bushings from full tilit boogie and I bought them would it be smart to itleast throw that on and maybe a ford racing rear diff before sending it down the 1/4 mile ?

It isn’t recommended, and I fully agree, to only replace some of the bushings and end up running Delrin/poly in some spots and rubber in others.

At a minimum, I would do a diff cover.

Running a bias ply is also good insurance as it softens the hit

I suggest a diff brace also and soft wall slicks. The half shafts and diff are very easy to break on these cars, but if you’re not violent you’ll be ok.

Ford Racing.

x2, or LPW. I've had both and never had an issue with either.

I've always had great results with stock/near stock IRS setup's on these cars. The last 03 I had to the track only had FTBR poly bushings and would consistently pull low 1.5 60's with drag radials and a 5-5500k launch on a ported Eaton. I slip the clutch a few feet when launching to reduce that sudden shock to the rear you get when just dropping it, much easier on the IRS.

She made 598 rwhp yesterday with a none aggressive tune because my dyno guy had to let off because he kept noticing a weird bounce in the reading he believes my driver fpm is going bad.

HP is one consideration, but also just as important, what was the torque? Torque is whats gonna twist your stuff up

My torque was at 545 I was trying to make it to the track before the end of July but it's looking like I'll just wait it out till someone can get me to install the bushings and rear differential. With the new tune she's pulling strong
