Is an MGW worth it? I have a Steeda Tri-Ax right now. I liked the MGW in my 2001 GT. I’m not sure if it’s worth changing to one on this Cobra.
I've had MGW, Pro 5.0, and just removed a Steeda. (for sale $90 btw)

I'll be the weird one that prefers the factory Cobra shifter.
Being a toploader design, theres no binding issue like with the S197s. - If you cant bang gears with this shifter design if your problem! lol

All a shifter will change is the throw/stiffness.
Im happy with the oem feel and there is less transmission noise with the OEM shifter.

Yeah, it's definitely a surprise to hear that someone actually prefers the factory shifter on the '03-'04 Cobra. It makes sense that a billet shifter would be noisier than the factory shifter due to the increased metal with the billet base, but a gasket isolator can solve that for both. Glad you're happy with your factory shifter.

I’ve driven the car a few times since I put it on. I do like the MGW more than the tri ax. Obviously not as big of a difference going from stock but definitely noticeable. I’m using the race handle and I like it.
