Yes heads were rebuilt with new guides, seals, new valves, ported, springs, retainers, the works.

I was reading another thread on here after doing some searching about gapless piston rings. As these rings can increase manifold vacuum due to the seal being so good in the bore vs a conventional ring. I'm wondering if the increased vacuum is an issue in this case. From what I read on the other thread they all got away from the gapless rings and never had smoking issues again. Had the same issue of smoking and oil on top on valves. I'll attach it below for reference.
