Went to check on the Mystic today and was not pleased. Still has the first cost of primer, barely block sanded, and he said he can’t paint it. The Mystic paint is over his head. I’m thankful he was man enough to admit that he cannot do the paint job but now I need to figure out a plan B quickly.

Since most places were closed since it’s Black Friday, plan B is going to have to wait till next week.

In the meantime, I to messed with the terminator. Bought some new wheels and an overflow tank for the supercharger. More on that later.

Used the day off to tackle the VC gaskets. Figured it would be a quick job.... boy was I wrong! Trying to wrestle the VC’s out of the 4V engine bay is a different animal in comparison to a GT.

passenger side wasn’t horrible. The driver side, on the other hand, was a bit challenging. Had to disconnect the master cylinder and brake booster to get enough room for removal.

Getting under the dash gets harder ever year!

Only took 1 picture because there wasn’t anything interesting to show.

Finished the driver side VC today, changed the oil, and removed the nitrous fogger kit.

Couldn’t figure out how to activate the system till I removed it and traced the wire from the relay back to the rear defrost button... tricky!

Worked on the terminator interior today. The gauge bezel had holes drilled in it, the leather on the shifter boot is worn, and the rest just needed to be cleaned while I wait to get the driver seat back from the upholsterer.

I have some trim pieces from a Mach 1 (bought a complete interior for $350, see SLOW2V). They’re mid gray and this car is mid black so I painted them to match each other.

I had some paint laying around so I figured I’d use it. I typically don’t like accent colors on trim, so we’ll see if this grows on me or if I pull em and paint them black. Let me know what you think.

Made a little progress on the exhaust. My dad stopped over so I put him to work. Unfortunately I didn’t finish, because I ran out of sunlight. Only need a few more hours

Finally off the jack stands. Running much better. Unfortunately, I did not pass smog. Put 80 miles after reconnecting the battery but I had a few codes come up incomplete. No CEL, so I’ll put a few more miles and try again. Some pics I took during the cruise.

Get your self a OBD 2 reader.
He one I have reads all the sensors and tells you when they are ready. Mine was $40 I think. Made by Konwei I believe. It's a great tool to have.

Don’t feel so bad lol. It took 6 months to paint my car back to red.

Found a new painter for the Mystic last week. Loaded her up today...

Pulled it off the trailer, went over my expectations, filled out some paperwork and they immediately started guide-coat and block sanding!

Couple of progress pictures. I was going to sell the Mystic after paint, but it’s looking so good I’m rethinking that
