Need some BIG help guys. Was driving today normally and stopped at a store. Before I turned the car off I heard a loud "SNAP" and the motor began making a horrible knocking sound. At first I thought I threw a rod but it sounds like a pulley. It goes away when the fan isn't on but now the car steadily overheats.

Could really use some input on it, thanks guys.

Looked good and coolant level is fine, my belt tensioner arm seems to be moving a bit more than usual, I'm thinking the spring inside snapped and started clicking. I've also been having low amps out of my alternator, I believe the tensioner is done. The noise going away at high RPM's is probably the belt getting tension from the increased pulley spin.

Well atleast I have a new belt tensioner now. I put a WTB ad on the forums to see if anyone has one laying around but if not I'll be picking up a dorman.

Thanks again hotcobra03 you seriously helped me out ALOT.
