Some Internal Pics of the 6.2L Boss from SEMA

    Was down in good ole Detroit earlier this week and saw something really cool. I was not allowed to take pictures, so I'm on the honor system here.

    Anyway, got to check out a BOSS motor up close and personal. I'll skip the block talk and go strait to the heads. OMG!!! These things have got some SERIOUS potential! Easily better than GM's gen IV. The factory cast heads flow ~350 cfm @ .600". Ported ones flow more than 390 @ .600", and peaks over 400. Lift can be more than .750".

    If/when someone decides to squeeze one of these in a mustang, look out!

    It would be cool to see people start swapping these into lightnings... with blowers on top and everything.

    Itll also be cool to see these get swapped into fox bodies.. and new edge cars

    For max power you're going to want a forged crank.

    The engine can be found in both.

    It also has oil squirter's tapped off the main oil gallery (see the tube). From what I have seen so far I don't care much for this set-up. Center fire single plug 4V per is a better design.

    Cool pics...old thread, but I've never seen those pics of the internals on my Raptor....
