My buddy ran into 2 cars with Ford test drivers just out putting in required drive cycles on them. One green, one blue. The older guy in the green car took him for a 15 minute drive!!!
Couldn’t take vid, only pics. I’ll post more later.

Interested in hearing his impression of the car as well.
Cool stuff!

Corporate car, corporate write off :)
The engineer I spoke to while he was out driving the similar mule; when I said nice car, he said, “well it’s corporate’s car but thanks”.
He also mentioned moving the predictive stability control he personally developed for the GT over to the 500 program. Me thinks they had some things turned off there.
Or, just testing the Cars Show Crowd launch control. :)

Possibly went off the road before the fencing started. Which might suggest a little speed involved.

One thing about the hood pins, I believe they are there because the hood is smc (as are the front fenders), as said in the initial info released. Both fiberglass hoods I have had STRONGLY recommended hood pins. I think the vette gets away without them as the hood is rear opening.

On the first picture of the blue gt500, on the drivers side cowl there is a "vent" like opening, but there is not one on the passenger cowl. Is it possible that it is HUD projector?

Apparently it's extremely good on the GT. There is a dude on the FGT forum who was talking about it, obviously vehicle dynamics are about as different as they can get, but he said it's a lot easier to drive over the limit (on track) than his mclarens and ferraris.

So that's good.

I’ll start by trying to upload a few pics from my buddy’s encounter and meeting the engineer.
I see base seats in the blue car:
