Ive heard of optioning up a car but having to pay for a passenger seat and a back bench is odd to me. It’s only $2 but to me it’s the principal of it
Heck while we are at it, how about a single seat, with a full 5 pointer, roll cage, radio/nav/ent delete, interior gutted. Hmmmm....GT500S? For just us track guys I suppose.
Not that it’s the easiest to make street legal, but the cobra jet is pretty awesome. Fits this discription

A max effort grip variation ala gt2rs would be very nice. I’m hoping Ford pulls a Porsche card and splits up the higher end Mustangs to fill 4-5 segments. Kind of headed there honestly.

Obviously the Porsche’s offer higher straight line, peak grip and overall performance but they should at 2 to 3 times the price. The Ford counter parts I’m describing follow the ethos of the requisite Porsche’s I’m listing. Things like driving experience and balance.
Dbk is a beast. That post had me rolling.
I was hyped for my 14’ GT500, the want was strong, I just don’t really feel it for this though. I feel as if it’s going to be a heavy, nanny filled cruise missile that feels numb(but fast). Honestly I was more hyped for the gt350 than this. Even those are just now selling for MSRP around here so I can only imagine what the first year of hype train 500’s will be.
But my 14 did have heated seats lol.
It'll be heavy, yes, just as any remaining pony car is today. Numb? Sure, if you choose to cruise around and not push it at all. But equipped with the latest generation of mag dampers/IRS, an engine with power like no Mustang before it, a transmission that allows you to exploit all that power with each and every shift, this car will be galaxies beyond what any S197 chassis car Ford ever offered in terms of available raw performance. The steam roller wheels and tires as well as the binders on it can't be denied either.
Whatever they decide, I'm sure it will make you smile when you mash the fun pedal!

How do you know anyone has "real info" if it's not shared and not verified?

Several here know that DBK has been very accurte because we have observed for more than a decade his details become fact, both for things to be or not to be. They did not need to wait until after the details became public because they knew from past experience he was correct. He has the privilege of knowing details we do not. Many of us understand this and have known it for a long time. It is for these reasons we have a very good idea we will know he is correct again.
But you are right, one cannot know for certain until the event has come to pass.
Past experience in my twelve years on this forum have proven he's either an amazing guesser or has an inside track.

Let's say I knew the project lead at ford for the gt500. If he didn't tell me verifiable info does that mean he doesn't have any or that nuts just unwilling to share?

Different levels of performance...sounds like there will be some varying levels of track performance available - thankfully. Hopefully the highest level is just an option choice and doesn't have limited availability ala the GT350R.
It would be nice to be able to choose the Track or Drag Package as an option for the base car.
