I have the new LG OLED which support dolby Vision HDR and with an Oppo UDP-203 player its the same as being at the movies so no it won't blow anything away I have at home actually.

your seats definitely sound more comfortable tho lol
Sweet Tv! Lol

You also missing the Dolby Atmos sound and the screen size is as big as the Imax screen size I believe. To me, $10 for movie isn't bad considering tons of theaters are $15+, being that is a Dolby Cinema is a the icing on top

7.1 and 181" screen here and I still go to the movies for Star Wars and Marvel movies.

Granted, its really not any better, but I go for the experience with friends.

Just saw it. Heres my take. I will say this, if trump isnt your president, chances are you won't like this movie. That being said, i dont understand all the hate, other than knowing how snowflakes feed off each other. This movie is excellent for what it is. A star wars movie. You will see things youve never seen in a star wars movie. One thing i totally agree with is the iron man general leia flying through space with no suit. That one scene is about the dumbest in any star wars. C mon man. There for a minute i thought rey and ren were going to have a force baby. I was expecting porn music to start. This movie to me reflects empire strikes back where the resistance is almost annihilated. You can feel the desperation on the rebellion. I could still see george lucas's fascination with world war 2 coming through the opening battle scenes. Luke did the same thing obi wan did. Gave himself up to buy a few seconds for everyone to escape. The closing scene stood out to me. You think ren and rey are the only 2 left with force powers, then you see that little boy who goes to sweep the floor, he reaches for the broom and the broom floats to his hand and the boy looks up at the stars.

During the movie, there were some 20 something guys vaping during the movie. They had skinny jeans, big oversized glasses. Colored hair and beanies. Walking out they were discussing how stupid the movie was. So, thats why i conclude, if trump isnt your President, youll hate the movie, because you dont know how to deal with not getting what you wanted.

I think the closest thing a guy can do to being gay is vape and or wear skinny jeans. Good god guys come on.

im a giant SW nerd and i enjoyed the movie quite a bit. the issue with star wars movies are the the "Fans". TFA was "too much like the originals" and TLJ is "too different from the originals". take it for what it is, its new story and its probably not the way you'd think its going to go in your head.

i really like Kylo Ren, i think his role and story are great. and it was nice to see a lot of rey rumors killed. overall i liked it just as much as TFA and plan on seeing it again this weekend.

on the other hand RO was epically boring. the best part of RO is the last 3 mins.

I just saw the movie and i liked it. Granted, I don't feel the original 3 are as great as so many make them out to be. So my opinion may not matter to the diehards of the original trilogy. The next sentences a spoiler, so stop reading if you dont want the movie to be ruined for you.

I don't get why they didn't just have leia die when she was in space? While it was cool that she finally used force powers, it really makes little sense given Carrie Fisher has passed away. I guess they are keeping her around so they can kill her character off in the next one?

It was a bit weak how Reys parents ended up being nobodies and that Snoke just dies without us learning anything about him. Otherwise, I thought it was well done.

Spoilers -

The Ren & Rey battle with Snoke's guards was maybe the best light saber battle in any of the movies. I really enjoyed the movie overall and felt like it got rid of characters that aren't part of the end game in this trilogy - Luke, Snoke (this one surprised me). They made it clear the next one is going to be Rey vs Ren. Not sure what they're going to do about Leia in episode 9.

I guess its time for Spoilers!

The Whole Plot for TFA was unnecessary!!! In fact, the whole movie was nothing but a waste of time! Luke was a non factor and did NOTHING! Ill admit the ending part with him was pretty awesome using the force in a way thats never been show but thats it. I understood the whole reason why he gave up on the force but to give up on it completely? He had Obi Wan force guide, he had Yoda, hell even a nice gesture to Qui Gon who was the one who taught Yoda to be in spirit force. Only for Yoda to come back in puppet form (pretty cool easter egg) only to say Failure is the greatest teacher and........ thats it..... No teachings, no nothing. Everything about the force, gone and "passed" on to a newbie..

Snoke, another useless character. Sure I get it, the Palpatine treatment but.. wouldnt this just make it into another rehash of Palpatine? Why? Why even bother? You have this "Sith?" that beat Luke into brainwashing his nephew that was able to manipulate force users without being around them, who was able to shadow force users emotions, who had "hatred?" against a Skywalker and was running an Alliance fleet who's padawan was still a conflicted user. Wait, is this Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Darth Sidious all over again? At least Darth Vader was a fearless "leader" who actually had power with the force and knew how to control it and was a great lightsaber user. Ben Skywalker? Not soo much.... Snoke = pretty much Darth Maul, wasted potential...

Rey's parents, build up for.... nothing.... another TFA wasted. Should've just brought it up with Maz's conversation in TFA. Speaking of Maz, nothing either...

The Plot? A slow police chase err i mean slow space chase.. Why not board the rebel fleet and destroy it? Rose and Finn's lil quest was also useless... But did bring one good thing that I enjoy out of it, more on that later.

Leia's space flight LOL

The Knights of Ren? Nothing? Really? So another cash grab Star Wars Prequel then..... Oh and Captain Phasma....

Have a ton more issues but these are the main one's.

I liked Luke's force usage in the end, the final battle reminded me of the Hoth Battle but was different and in a good way. The final scene with the slave kid using the force was pretty cool, showing how the force will always live on different people and wont be stuck to a person or two especially when everyone thinks the force is dead. Ben Skywalker/Kylo Ren was a better character this time around.

Star Wars Ep 9 will center around Ben and Rey.... two rookie force users with no master's around with a Rebel Alliance that has no more backup and are down to 20? people and the New Republic (Empire) that is run by a still angry boy force user and his side bitch that are stuck in an old rebel base planet..... Yeap.....

Blue Snake put into words how I feel. I couldn't articulate it though.

I did like during the final battle with Luke/Kylo when Luke told Kylo "See ya round kid". It was a good homage to Han telling that to Luke in one of the original trilogy.

The wife, kids and I really enjoyed the movie.

We only go to theaters where you get to pick your seat. The ones around here that I've been to don't charge extra for different seats though. The one we use the most you pick ticket numbers and types (adult/kid/senior) first then pick the actual seat location. No waiting in long lines before the movie starts to get a decent seat. Just show up and go right to it. We saw it Sunday morning at 9:30 so all the tickets were around $6 each I think.

I saw this at 10:30 this morning with the family. Took my kid out of school today to see it, everyone knows Star Wars>School.

I enjoyed it for what it was. Yes it had some plot holes and there were some things that were unnecessary... I'm looking at the whole Finn and Rose arc.

Our theater you have leather electric recliners and no difference in pricing between seats. I used to hate going to theaters and now that I can choose my seat online and have an individual leather recliner in stadium seating with nobody that can kick the back of your seat, I go every time a movie comes out that I want to see.

I too hate the whole Snoke thing, the scene was great though. The Leia in Space! scene was terrible.

Other than that it was an entertaining flick, that's all I want in a movie is to be entertained. Was it the best SW movie? Nope. Was it the worst? Nope.

You will always have people that will love/hate any movie.
