Pulled the starter today and what a PITA!!! Does anyone have any advise for the install? Does anyone replace the "Hidden Bolt" on the top? This was part of my tranny/T/O bearing repair and the starter took more time than everything else combined. Tranny is still in the car. That is tomorrow's project. :burnout:

A deep well 13mm 3 and 1 inch extension and you can get to it the ratchet should be just passed the front of the starter and you will have a a good bit of room to turn the ratchet

I always replace that bolt. It does take the proper combination of swivels and extensions through the k-member and motor mount area to get to it. best of luck!

The way that I posted the ratchet will actually be in between the starter and k member. I had to take mine out last night

you should try it with long tube headers, I ended up drilling a 2 1/2 inch hole in the k-member.Easy peasy now,5 min job
