We get some questions on our spider brace setup from time to time so we decided to make a thread to clear up some of the confusion on what is, what it does, and what is needed to install.

The Spider Braces we offer for 79-04 mustangs provide a way to stiffen your front frame rails without installing a 12pt-cage or converting to a tube chassis. In order to use the Spider brace, you need to use one of our lower chassis braces, our crossmember and our subframe connectors or FIT System (or any manufactures subframe connectors will work). Minimal welding is required with this kit.

With these components installed, you are essentially integrating the K-member and subframe system together. This eliminates unwanted movement of the front frame rails caused by launching, cornering and braking. The system acts as a lower frame rail to greatly increase front end rigidity and transfers suspension loads to the strongest part of the car, the subframe system.

If you have anymore questions about our spider braces or any of our other products and how they work together, feel free to PM me or call the shop at 317-837-2444.
