Stock Boost Gauge Question

Just bought a 2011 SVTPP. As far as I can tell it is all stock, right down to the mufflers and has only 11,000 miles. The car runs and sounds great.

Can someone describe what I should be seeing on the boost gauge. When should it start to register a boost reading and what should be the peak reading? Is there a certain rpm that I should expect to see max boost?

The stock boost gauge is not a true mechanical gauge, but an inferred display based on what the pcm is reading from a couple different sensors. That being said, if you are stock, it should be fairly accurate. If i remember correctly, as long as you are not flooring it in a super low rpm, it should read around 9 psi anytine you give it the beans.

Nice gratuitous pic of your Shelby. You need to lean hard into the pedal to get the rpms up and the air volume compressed enough to move the needle. It’s fun too. Just driving around without making much noise the needle doesn’t move.
