This is the system that uses a seperate intercooler reservior filled with antifreeze that is cooled to 30 degrees or so by your stock A/C unit. It is activated on WOT to cool the incoming air from 140 degrees to around 70 degrees or so for about 45 seconds. It boosts your HP, reduces detonation caused by heat, and is rechargable within 2 minutes. I have been doing some research, but have yet to find someone putting one in a new Cobra.

Awesome idea from SVT for the Lightnings, and it should work for the Cobras as well. Just like a renewable shot of nitrous, and you never have to refil the bottle. Just curious why it hasn't been done?

To complex, and not worth the time, and effort for the gains that can be gotten with ice water, or nitrous.

Plus not sure about running the A/C compressor on a 100% duty cycle as it would have to do to be of use!

IIRC this has been around since 1993, the 1st year of Ford's SVT. I guess it's just never been implemented because it's not practical enough.
