I have been hording parts for almost a year now, and I'm finally getting to the point of actually installing them.

They are:

03 Cobra IRS w/ 3.55's
IRS Exhuast
Fox A-Arms w/ 95 spindles
13" Front Brakes
FMIC w/ 3" piping
95 GT Throttle Body
Rotated Upper Intake
Accufab APFR
MM Strut Brace
MGW Shift Handle
MM Poly Bushings
Volvo Radiator (fits perfectly with the I/C)
E-fan

I still need a couple of parts like a Boost Controller, Front rotors and some Gauges to totally finish the project.

My goal is to have the car finished by Mid April, because I'm going to take it to Hallett to see what she can do.

Progress from yesterday:

Mocked up the I/C.......now I just need to order a couple of coupling to run all the piping.

Made a DIY CAI and put the VAM in the fender.

I love the plan of using an IRS in the SVO, especially since you are going to use it on a road course. I put one in my '90 GT and drive it in TTD with NASA. The IRS gave me a 55/45 weight distribution. I bet with the lighter motor in your SVO you will have nearly a 50/50.

I had a good day yesterday, here is an update.

I made some brackets to fit a radiator out of a Volvo 240, fitted an E-Fan from a Taurus and to my surprise my stock connector plugged right into it.

Installed an oil catch can, I just need to get some plumbing for the PCV valve.

main.php

MM strut bar mocked up.

main.php

Thanks to the strut bar I have to move my alternator now. it was in the upper right hand side...........now thanks to some Ranger brackets it is going to go down by the turbo.

Thanks, it is a all numbers matching car w/ all of the paperwork down to the window sticker. It has right around 68K miles on it now, I bought it 5 years ago w/ 58k miles.

Here is another update.

I know it has been a little while since my last update. I have been plugging away, I removed and clean the upper and lower intake, resealed the fuel nozzles, installed a AFPR, rerouted hoses and harnesses to help clean up things, finished up with the serpentine setup, and finished installing the radiator. Now I just need to replace the valve seals, wire up the alternator and wait for the throttle body adapter plate and I should be able to finish everything up under the hood.

Don't worry all of the old dirty stuff that I installed will be removed cleaned/painted and reinstalled.

Another update:

I painted and installed the FMIC, radiator w/ reservoir and fan. I also finished wiring the alternator. Next I need to finish painting the alternator bracket and reinstall it, make a dual gauge pod the replaces the ash tray in my center console and install my new boost and fuel pressure gauges, finish up the I/C piping and hopefully this weekend replace my valve seals.

Intercooler refinished

Another update:

Installed the alternator for hopefully the last time, then I installed as much as I could of the I/C piping. I'm just waiting on one more part and I'll be able to finish that up.

I also got a couple of goodies; new Hurst shift knob, Autometer ES Boost and Fuel Pressure Gauges.

Well I finally bought a Boost and Fuel Pressure gauge, since I'm not a fan of pillar pods I decided to build my own. At first I was going to make a fiber glass one that would replace the ash tray. But after looking at it............it probably would have looked way too out of place.

So I decided to make my own using some PVC pipe, sheet metal and some plastic.

I made some angle pieces out of the PVC to aim the gauges towards the driver a little more and I'm painting the metal gray and then putting the black plastic pieces on (leaving a small gap between the 2 pieces). Hopefully I'll finish it up tomorrow.

Anyways, on with the pictures.

Autometer ES gauges:

Yet another test fit:

Everything fits.........I have made a couple of "tweaks" so everything is even (after I took this picture):

Here is the finished product, tho I may remove the plastic piece behind the switches as I really don't know if I like it. I also made an ash tray delete plate.

Great build. I think your going to love the way the car handles. Hallett is a fun track, I have been going there for years for the Mid American Shelby meet..

Thanks.........

Well I made a lot more progress now, hopefully I will be able to start the car up this week.

I made an adapter plate to mount a 94 Mustang GT throttle body onto my stock upper intake, machined a small cavity on the throttle body to make room for a "blind bolt", made a throttle cable bracket to mount a throttle cable out of a 94 GT and finished installing the I/C piping. I just need to install the TPS sensor and set it up....then disconnect the I/C piping and blow it all out (just in case).

The car looks great man. It appears to be a total transformation from the last time I ever saw it, but then again, that has been a LONG time.
