I currently have a 93 fox with a 393w in it. I'm looking for a truck to get practical use as well as have fun. What all would be involved in swapping my 393 into a 1st gen lightning? mainly will I run into any problems with the E4OD and will I have to use the lightnings ECU with my 393? any help would be appreciated!

Motor would fit fine, lightnings come with a 351 so it's plug and play. You will want to do a mass air conversion if the 393 is even remotely cammed

Yeah you'll need to do a mass air conversion and get a stand alone for the transmission. Speed density does not like big cams :bash:
