The newest control group render is a move in the right direction. Over the last 2 years, I have seen a lot of amazing concepts on TMS and across the web. Every time a new concept is released, there are some hum buggers... Usually "Evos debunkers". I remember back in 1992 when the Mach III came out and Ford released the "Rambo", the "Jenner" and the "Arnie" SN95 concepts. All four concepts were completely unique. The final design was a cross between the Arnold and the Mach III, eventually, the "Rambo" concept was worked into the New Edge.

The "concepts" we see today are most likely design leaks to incite some feedback. Also a big possibility, there are many finished concepts. Each unique and designed from sketch to clay by completely different design teams. The most recent look at a possibility is the control group 2015 Mustang below.

As I said before, the concepts are beginning to gain some charm. I love this one in perticular because the possibility of graphing my Mach 5 concept onto this render looks easy. The concept is too square, too CTSV and Charger and Ford will not follow that genre. Of course my own personal concept is a big deal for me. It got a lot of attention from multiple different countries on Ford's own Facebook site. It would be a proud day for me if Ford was truly influenced by my Mach 5 concept.

I can only imagine Ford is doing the right thing... and the 50th Birthday car will be irresistible. I think the dimensions of the control group Mustang mated with the major styling and cues of the Mach 5 will ultimately be the 2015 Mustang. I'm hoping that the front section of the Mach 5 has major influence on the final concept along with nice curves... Just my very biased opinion but I was right about the Evos when I seen it in Frankfurt.

I thank everyone for their support of such a simple project. I also forgive all the naysayers saying "Ford will never make that".

Everything looks good except the rear. It looks like it's been rear ended. Way too disproportionate - even the Civic has a better looking trunk. I don't know what It looks like from the back but from this 3/4 pic it looks horrid. Just my 0.02

Looks liek they got the trunk, bodyline and overall shape from the 1-series, which is kind of ugly. Just bad proportions.

So the Joker, I mean thePill designed the Batmobile?

Also I saw the same TV special on the Mustang mentioning the "Rambo" and "Arnie" (although I believe they called it the "Terminator")." I believe the New edge was the "Arnie" hence Terminators aka Cobra. I could be wrong on that as it was a long time ago when I watched it.

Looks an awful lot like a 2 door 2013 Taurus... The front end, hood and the high up rear deck have an uncanny resemblance to the Taurus. The roof line reminds me of an SN-95.

No thanks, I'll stick with my termi or buy 11-13 Shelby. I'll get in the Camaro before that, don't even like the new Camaro

My biggest concern and fear is that the front end will be that of the new fusion which nearly every concept sketch has shown. The Mustang MUST look unique. IMO if they utilize the same style front end now used on the taurus, fusion, focus and escape...it will be the end of the mustang.

The "Arnie" was actually called the "Schwarzenegger". It was one of three concepts that would become the 1994 Mustang. The Terminator could have possibly adopted the name internally from the 1992 concept.

I will try to dig up the concept art and clay model pics if I can.

Edit: Well Bam Ba Lam, all 3 on one site... See how concepts become reality.

Here is the concept I did right before the Mach 5. Remember, I have to construct these images from witness testimony. Just because one witness seen one car, another witness could have seen another.

I stopped this project because everyone wanted to hang me. Its dimensions and overall demeanor is similar to the control group Mustang up top.
Original art by Sean Smith, front fascia by me.

Here is a more flowing approach, this render is incomplete... I was told to stop.

If the Control Group Mustang at the top of he page is the Jenner and the Mach 5 is Rambo, expect a 3rd concept that infuses both flow and muscle into the DNA.
