timing chain tensioner install

okay guys, sorry i have a dumb question. :( im putting metal timing chain tensioners in my 2 valve. one has a "r" stamped on it, and the other a "l". so does the "L" driver's side of the engine, or the passenger? TIA.

i would just look at the ones that are on there already, but i have reason to believe it might be incorrect how it is now.

i would have posted in the 2v section, but i have a similar thread about tensioners over there and no one has responded....so hit me with some knowledge, thanks :rockon:

left hand refers to drivers side. always reference left or right from sitting in the drivers seat.

That is very true however there are times when that doesn't work, such as a rear facing engine. In that case it would be opposite, but that does not apply for our cars so who cares...
