Today my brother (screen name 9apilot here) retires after 20 years of faithful and devoted service to this country in the United States Navy. Through this time he has served through 2 periods of time this nation was at war in the Middle East and under 4 presidents. Wish I could be there, but I am deployed in Afghanistan so.........I'll just go ahead and say thanks here.

Very awesome. Must be surreal to retire after 20yrs of flying for the Navy.
Congrats on the retirement and thank you for all the sacrifices you've made over the last 20 years.

What are the plans now?

Congrats and THANK YOU!

EDIT:

FLYIN, is he really your brother as in sibling? Or do you just mean brother-in-arms or brother pilot? Sorry, maybe it's just early and I am being slow...

Yes we have the same mother, father, last name, and inherited the same hair line from our parents. Haha.

Thanks, Troy.As you know, I really wished you could have been there. It was beautiful ceremony.(in contrast to the re-enlistment) I spoke of you, of course. I will feel much better when you bring your ass home in one piece.

Congratulations! If I could have gone any other route it would be to get into aviation. I envy both of you.
