I have a gasser 6.2l Super Duty. It has a payload capacity of 3500 lbs. 10000lb with the 4.30's. Drove it down too SC for mustang week just to see how the drive was didn't tow anything down just a straight cruise from Illinois to South Carolina. Question for those who have had this truck or one similar to this? Im looking at toy haulers that will hold a car inside. Im curious as to anyones experience with towing a 5th or gooseneck trailer in the 12-15K weight range. The trucks limit on paper is 15.7K goose/fifth or 12.5K conventional. My payload isn't a problem. Empty it pulls up no problem in 6th, Im just curious how the 6.2L will fair through the mountains at or near max tow specs. I would like to purchase a larger trailer as a new truck is eventually inevitable, however I would like to purchase a trailer 1 time and keep it.
