If any of you remember, I had bought a Taurus PT140 .40 cal compact pistol in August at the Nations Gun Show. Well, the Taurus left a bad taste in my mouth after the first time at the range. Seems that the PT140's have a defective mag release which allows the magazine to fall out when firing. It's not a question of the hand hitting it during firing, because switching the mag release from right to left handed fixed the problem, not only that, but the part is on back-order from Taurus, and there are numerous complaints all over the internet.
Fast forward to today, the Nation's Gun Show is back and I had a little bit more coin to spend. I traded in the Taurus at Trader Jerry's for a Glock 23 with night sights. I also picked up 500 rounds for $130, a carry holster/extra mag holster for $80, 2 extra mags and a factory Glock extended mag release (installed) for around $70.
