Trunk lid struts the same?

I've got a '13 GT with the oem CS spoiler and am wanting the GT500 style.

I found a trunk lid from a 2014 that is spoiler delete and wondering if the factory struts are the same as far as strength.
If mine are stronger due to the weight and I let them go so they'll work on his car then I'll have to replace the new one's once I install the spoiler.

Just curious if someone here has installed a GT500 spoiler on a base, bare decklid and if the struts worked like they should.

No doubt they are the same. Just a heads up though, your spoiler bolts do not line up.

You won't have any issues. I bought a spoiler delete lid and mounted the GT500 spoiler as well.

That's the reason I'm trading for a spoiler delete trunk, I already tried to swap my CS for a 500 spoiler and found out about the extra holes.
