I have had the car for a few months now and the dealer installed the 670hp kit with the very weak Roush tune. I like driving it but the car feels like it has alot left on the table. Are the companies like VMP, Lund, ect... able to overwrite the cheap Roush voucher tune? Anyone seen better number from a custom tune with this kit?

    ABSOLUTELY!!!
There are a ton of these posts on mustang6g.com. (In case you would like to research for yourself.)
Ken At Palm Beach Dyno, Lund Tuning and VMP Performance are very good at what they do and bring out the power and torque. Good luck!

we try VMP tune but disappointed results and bad drivability even after so many data logs.

That's pretty unusual. VMP are one of the top 3 tuners in my opinion.
Get in touch with them. They'll have it settled in no time.

Those are the other two that are tops in my opinion.

I called VMP and did not like their customer service so I decided to get my tune from Chris Holmes (Forced Motorsports). I used the Ngauge from HPtuners, I am happy with the results, it drives the same as the stock Roush tune but more powerful, my rev limiter was 6700 and was raised to 7200 rpm. I believe his name on here is mastwolf, you should give him a call.

Go to palm beach, do not get an email / mail order tune. Go and get an actual custom dyno tune. That way its done when you leave, no more work to be done. Turn key.

EXACTLY how I plan to do it as well if I keep my car. Except I'll be using VMP. Mainly because of how closely VMP works with Roush.
I want it dyno-tuned, datalogged and all that good stuff with Justin before being returned as if it were 100% stock driveability until I tap the "GO" pedal. LOL
(No email tune/datalogging for me. Takes all the guess work out of it having your tuner do it. One less headache to deal with. Nothing wrong with PBD or Lund either. All three of these mentioned tuners are tops in my book.)

Very smart man. Too many customers have came in to us and said 'xxx has been trying to get the car right for months'

But you have to think, these bigger guys have THOUSANDS of tunes out, and think of how many people want adjustments? There's just not enough hours in the day to get to every single person, so then there's waiting. Meanwhile if you did a custom dyno tune you'd be done that same day (at least at my shop) and it would be turn key, ready to go.

For what's it's worth, I have a '14 Coyote F150 FX4 with the Roush Phase-2 kit. The kit was installed by the dealer when bought new with the Roush power train warranty. The Roush tune was weak and governed to 95mph, plus the cruise control wouldn't hold selected speeds even slightly uphill or against a good wind. Roush said it was an original Ford problem (it was, by the way...) and Ford said it was a Roush problem (true also, as Roush inherited Ford's problem when they accepted my truck for their warranty...). My dealer offered to keep fighting both sides for me, but I said f*ck the Roush warranty and emailed Justin Starkey at VMP. He said he thought he knew what was happening with the cruise control and wrote me his standard 91 performance tune for the Coyote F150 with some cruise control mods that fixed everything. The whole character of the truck changed entirely. It felt like it was a 1,000lbs lighter and the cruise control worked perfectly. Plus, it now runs like a 12 second vehicle should and improved the gas mileage 1-2mph depending on conditions. It's now the truck I thought I was getting when I first bought it. If I had it to do all over again, I would have just bought a good used low mileage Coyote F150 and installed the VMP Gen-2 Stage-2 kit myself. Would have saved myself thousands of dollars and weeks of lost time. Lessons learned...
