Hey guys just wanted to show off my new GT500 and kick off a build thread.

After searching for a while for a GT500 CFTP on Velocity Blue I finally gave up and found a dealer that would do a golden ticket car for 9 over. It won’t be delivered until next week, but I’m pretty excited.

I asked them to save any and all paperwork, plastics, memorabilia, etc. to ship with the car. It has the cover and the wicker splitters are installed. Unfortunately the car was already ceramic coated, but the GM said it was the real deal and was honest enough to say when Ford shipped it, it was so dirty he had to have a real detail shop clean it and he didn’t want his guys doing it. Once they detailed and paint corrected it the ceramic was a small jump.

The car will be directly delivered to my detail shop where they will polish off the ceramic, add PPF and then re-ceramic it.

Anything else I need to make sure I ask about and or get with the car?

Without further ado, I give you the most beautiful GT500 out there! I’ll keep this thread alive as I modify the car, I love the documentation process. This build won’t be crazy like my Saleen, but it’ll be documented.

Congrats on your purchase. What a sweet looking GT-500. I know you're going to do some modding, but honestly if it was mine I don't think I'd touch it, mods wise. I'd just freaking enjoy driving it. Out of the box it is such an awesome car, performance wise.

I love the color, too!

Nice! What are your plans for it?

It’s going strait to the detail shop for full PPF and ceramic, wheels too. Then I’ll be getting it tinted (50 front, 35 sixes & back) and installing a back seat so my son can ride in the car.

For 2021 not much performance wise. I’m going to get it on a dyno and to the track stock. Then I’m going to do the resonator delete and intake, repeat the dyno and likely the track. After the first year I’ll decide on going more extreme, I’m honestly waiting to see what happens with the DCT as people start pushing up the power.

Well the car got put on the trailer today and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow after 5pm.

Salesman sent the following photos. He said there are a few surprises in the car, I’m assuming this is the welcome package from Ford with the supercharger rotor desk weight.

Car arrived yesterday and was delivered straight to the detail shop for the full wrap and ceramic job.

Tight fit!

Didn’t expect to run into another GT500CFTP, but one is being stored there for the winter. Great photo opportunity.
