What is everybody doing for rubber on their stock 20" rears?

I've done a few searches and it seems like there isn't much choice... the Nitto NTO1s or the Toyo R888s (and the new R888Rs)... not bad choices, but I was curious what most people are doing or if there's anything else worth looking at.

Have people being going to 295s? Is there a drag radial that will fit?

I'm about to drop a grand on just the rears, so just checking to see what people are doing out there... Thanks.

I went to 295/35-20 MPSS in the rear. I've experienced no issues with the way I drive (conservative). I wanted a slightly taller tire and the MPSS runs wider than a typical 295 so got some more meat look.

265/40/19 Nitto G2 555 and 295/35/20 Ntto G2 555 here. Drives a little bit differently. Straight line is better, seems to have lost a little something cornering hard.

Next tire set I will probably go with PS2's in stock sizes or even them out at 275 fronts 295 rear not sure yet. I would try to stick with the 20 diff between front and rear though going forward.

275/40 19 and 275/40 20's Firestone Firehawk Indy's, I love the ride of the fatter side wall and it still hugs a corner just fine.

This size (295/35/20 Ntto G2 555) doesn't show up on Nitto's website as an option...

305s and 315s are too big for a 9.5" rim is what I've been seeing... are you still running the factory rims?

Their on the car :)

Nitto NT555 G2 - #211290
Ultra High Performance Sport

Size: 295/35ZR20

They also show up here on their site:

http://www.nittotire.com/passenger-tires/nt555-g2-ultra-high-performance-tire/

ah... I must have been looking at the NT555R's.... The G2's look like a good option too.

I want an overall good tire... The car is not a daily and will likely see time at the 1/4 mile, The Texas Mile, and the Circuit of the America's as soon as I get it set up the way I want it... have a few more things to buy as always.

I researched long and hard for the right fit and look (2011 GT500 non SVT/not lowered). I ended up getting the Shelby Venom rims: 20" 9.5 front and 20" 10.5 rear. I wanted the Alcoa SS rims but hard to find and very expensive. I put BF Goodrich G-Force SS A/S 275/35R on front and 305/35R on the rear. Close fit but worked out great. I wasn't happy with the stock rims/tires. Drives great!
