Damn the pictures of the build on that are crazy. Definitely a lot of time and effort went into the car. That would be an awesome Christmas present for sure lol

I dunno why everyone's panties get when with those Eleanor cars.
IMO, they actually look kinda tacky with all the scoops, lights, etc.
And "GT500E", c'mon now.

Any surprise it went for $65K? Someone from SVT buy it ? Not a bad looking car though, looks like a lot of work was involved.

I agree sense i have a 67 fastback I like the stock look alot more then a movie recreation. But the work and time put into it is amazing alone. Its just when you get into that kind of money 65k, I rather have alot of other cars

Agreed but that statement only applies to common folk like you and I. If someone is willing to spend $65K on a Mustang they probably have enough money to still get a lot of other cars.

Something doesnt make sense, as that is VERY cheap for that car. Non authentic versions just like this one go for well over 100k.

That would be one heck of a Christmas present! ^ Non-authentic cars like these go for $100k? Man, I was a little suprised they could get 65k for it even though the time and money spent on it was much more that that. Congrats to the new buyer though and hopefully he takes care of it and keeps in touch with the original owner.

Yea, I agree. They found an original "S" code car and did all that work. I would have much rather seen an original restoration. Some day someone will be ripping all that stuff off and returning it to (near) stock. But, to each his own....

There are a good number of fans of the Eleanor out there, so it isn't surprising that this one sold for $65K. Not everyone is going to like a car like this. Then again, not everyone liked/likes the Plymouth Super Bird, but they go for big bucks at auction, especially if it's a Hemi. Variety is the spice of life. :)
