It’s not an issue of it breaking loose just getting the socket to fit properly. All the other nuts come off easily. It’s that angle that being a pain. I tried the 1/2 setup and the regular socket was too shallow. I’ll get at in in the morning, maybe daylight and a heater will help me

Ahh gotcha. Yeah, I personally have not had issues getting sockets on it. I hope you get it off tomorrow! Let us know

Got lucky and didn’t snap any. The stud part came out on the top passenger side but that’s no biggy. Just glad it want the one by the starter!

I didn't like the magnaflow tips and slp never got back to me on their tips. The slps we're only 3.5" double wall and I wanted 4" double wall. Unfortunately no one makes a double wall 4" tip in 16" length so I was forced to make some extensions and run 9" long tips.

I didn't want to weld them to the magnaflow so I made them clamp on. I had the stainless pipe and the tips were only like $60 for the pair on Amazon so it was way cheaper than the slps too.

The Good: Loaded my E85 tune (E75 technically…). Idles great. Until it warms and it surges. If I boil the throttle it cleans up again. It might be due to the ISC settings I modified. I’ll revert them back and see how it does.

The Bad: my J2Fab alternator I bought this spring took a sh*t. Ain’t charging. Kind of pissed since I could have changed it when everthing was off. I bought a cheapo stock rated one off RockAuto. If this works I’ll look at aftermarket options. Why is it so difficult to get a reliable alternator for these cars? Seems like every aftermarket ‘nator is hit or miss. I don’t want to spend &400-500 again just to have it crap out.

You’ll get the tune dialed in man! E85 is a tough one for sure. I’ve always wondered that myself. My expensive ones took a shit on me. However my American Muscle 170amp has lasted the longest and was only like $289.

I finished making my 2nd Dragon throttle body throttle plate. This one seals up so much better than the original and much better than my first attempt.

Installed a new TPS and adjusted it to .98v, tossed on some new coil covers while I let my computer reset.

First start up was ~950, a world better than the 1250-1300 the factory Dragon plate had. Now the car dies with the IAC unplugged, before it did nothing.

I also got my new X4 in, waiting on speedhut vac/boost and A/F gauges to show, along with a Ballenger lab grade wide band and aeroforce unit with oil pressure and temp inputs.

Then it’s off to log and tune with @04sleeper

I plan to have 04sleeper tune my car in the spring. I just need to order one more part. I'd be curious on how easy or difficult the process is with Kevin.

You SB looks good.

He’s tuned for me in the past and it’s very easy. You send him your list of mods and an idle log, then you work your way up to WOT. He’s done so many times it didn’t take many revisions to be perfect.

Also, appreciate the kind words! I purchased this car with the intent to keep it stock…. Haha.

I have a tuner close to me who is pseudo family. So he tunes all my cars. If it wasn’t for him 04Sleeper would be tuning mine as well.

Keeping it stock is for old people.

Didn't you use Malcolm in the past? Any reason for the change up?

What mods are you doing now?
