I drove the 91 Notchback on a 162 mile round trip over the weekend. Highway 70-75 mph with TFS stage 1 HCI, 4.10 gears and t5z. It’s Tuned with a moates quarterhorse. It got 24.7 mpg. I was pleasantly surprised

4 Eyed Fox. AMP to VOLT meter. Posted this a while ago on 4eyedpride, some may have seen it before.

Fords Amp meters didn't work worth a squat even brand new. Decided to make a factory looking volt meter instead.

Then sent it out, had it gutted and volt meter installed.

Red areas a hair on the dark side, but not bad for first attempt.
(also keep in mind my original is 35+ years old and faded)

Hopefully. Still some stuff to get done like align the front end enough to road drive it, and bleed the brakes fully. I also still need to align the front fenders, hood and bumper better. Not happy with those gaps yet.

This week I’m charging the A/C with R12.

Looks good. I’d love to fix my AC and have it charged with R12. It quit in 04 and I haven’t tried to have it fixed.

What "goodies" do you have planned for that Fox?
So my brother in law has a H/C/I build id like to replicate to a degeee. However I’d like to make a fun street/strip car. Nothing wild, maybe 450-500 wheel. Going to bore the motor out to a 306, port some GT-40 heads, 95 Cobra intake, F-303 Cam, and a single turbo set up. Got the heads, intake, waiting for my cam. Undecided which turbo I’ll go with, found a few “budget” turbo’s. However the kits around $1,900 or less.

I have never put a front plate on my cars. I have never been pulled over for it either. Maybe I am lucky? But 40 years of driving and have not had any issues. During that time I have lived in 5 States.
Probably depends on location. A smaller town like mine the police look for anything.

I haven't put a front plate on the GT 350 and don't plan on it. I'll eventually get pulled over for the window tint and the missing plate....

But I'm at the point where I'm like "Oh well".

Was I was in my 20's, i never ran the front plate. Slapped it on for inspection and then took it off. Got pulled over a couple times but always got a warning.

Later on, i got a vanity plate so I decided to just mount the bracket and mount it for good. I don't mind it at all, only because it's a Mustang-specific vanity.

I just don't want to hassle anymore. Car's already loud, so I'm trying to avoid things like no front plate or tint way to dark. For the most part, i get thumbs up from the local cops.

First time really driving the convertible. I'm not going to lie. I was never a vert guy, but it definitely was a different experience. I'm liking it.

Lookin good man! It is nice to have different types of cars in the rotation. I know I like it. It's like driving a new car, when you don't stretch their legs often.

The old man wanted to make his 72' Nova like his 68' Skylark. The Nova is set up for street strip. And we set up the Skylark as a pro touring. With Hotchkiss suspension 4 wheel disc, and a nodular 9". I told him, you already have that in the 68' no need to have 2 cars that act and drive the same. Looks like the 7-up is a stock cruiser, you have the 03' and the Gt350 to get your speed rocks off.

Dare I say that car looks classy, I like it.
I’ve never been a vert guy either, but every now and then I daydream about a red fox GT convertible and a road trip.

I'm with you Brady. I've never been a vert guy either. I bought my 03 vert to use as a donor car for my 65 project. As soon as I got home the wife drove the 03 vert off the trailer, with the top down, and took off. When she came back she put the kibosh on that idea and said "you ain't cutting this car up!" LMAO.

I do have to admit it is fun to put the top down and go for a ride every now and then.

Never driven in a vert before. Never wanted one and generally avoided them.

Now at age 41, i really do want a convertible Mustang to cruise around with wife and kiddos. I might get an Sn95 or newer however. I love the foxbody, but I think i need some diversity in my life.

When comparing a vert to a tin top, from a performance perspective, the trade offs are substantial. But, as others mention, there is no equal to open top driving, cowl shake be damned.

Those mods should make for a very nice street/strip ride. You hoping to get it all done for some summer fun this year?
