Guys I'm in the process of removing my upper intake in order to throw on some new valve covers and was wonder if any of you knew what the right part number was for our upper intake and while I’m at it the throttle body gasket numbers, preferably through Fel-pro. Also, do you guys think I should go ahead and upgrade the bolts to ARP while I’m at it....if yes, which would be the appropriate ones.
Thanks in advance!

BTW, should I drain any of the coolant in order to remove the upper intake??

Don't have the part# off hand, but any parts store should have it.

Unless removing the lower intake, you do not have to drain the coolant

Don't know the part numbers, it's been so long since I did mine. Any decent part store should be able to get the appropriate fel pro, just be sure to say Cobra.

I don't believe you need to drain any coolant for the upper remove/replace. I wouldn't worry about arp's on the upper or the valve covers, as they are low stress areas.

Thanks guys!
One more question, is there anything I need to consider "specifically clearance issues" before purchasing new valve covers due to the fact we have 1.7 rockers? I was looking at the "Ford Racing Covers" part# FMS-M6000D302 on page 245 in summits May-June catalog. Do you guys foresee any problems with these and a breather do to the fact that I'm S/C?

So the valve covers I picked shouldn't have any problem clearing the rockers?

From what I understand, most of the FRPP stuff has to be modified to clear the 1.7 rr. I think they have some of the "tall efi" covers that will clear, but then some people have trouble with them and the upper intake hitting them.

But they are very pretty and shiny, me like!

Hopefully someone else will chime in on them.
