I was looking at getting a GT350 and was wanting to know what was the difference between the years (2015 thru 2020)? Thank you for the help.

Thanks for the answers. Very nice info AustinSVT. I think I want the feature changes. So here I guess would be the better question. I have found 16's with low mile and at a good price. Is it worth paying more for the 17 thru 20 or am I getting mostly the same car with the 16? The big change that I have seen is the magnetic dampers. If it was your money what year would you buy to get the best bang for your buck?

16-18 had oil consumption issues, not all cars, but enough to put a damper for some people to not consider those years.

19-20 seem to have Oil consumption problem fixed, but now have an issue with dropping valves in cylinders 7&8 for no apparent reason, resulting in a replacement motor.

those that have had this happen, it was usually within the first 2000 miles, and replacement motors seem fine afterwards.

Best way to know is take the VIN of any car you are looking at to a ford dealer and ask for the the oasis report - vehicle service history, and decide from there.

I'm not sure that the available data supports this. There's oil consumption issues across all years and in fact, what someone had pieced together suggested that 19 was the worst year (from what I remember).

Sorry to to hijack...but what are your thoughts on the car after tracking it, especially in comparison to Boss 302 LS?

Interesting.

My 2020 now has 4500 miles and has not used 1 drop, even after two days of open track in Michigan.

That's no different than other years. My 2016 doesn't burn oil. But there's plenty of examples of guys who burned oil immediately and plenty of examples of guys who didn't burn oil until later (from all years). I'd say it's encouraging that it doesn't burn oil, but it's not a guarantee that it won't start at some later point.
