What's the open valve spring height?

I can only see the the valve spring installed height on the manual, does anybody know?

should be the installed height minus valve lift

You also have to take into account what Ford set clearance for coil bind on top of valve lift. I don't know that answer but I'd be curious to know.

Shaun@aed could prolly answer this question if you call or email him, but I haven't saw him post on here sense the giant douche nozzle thread happened. He was asking me all sorts of questions after I got my motor back together about valve clearances and told me what they should be and that certain springs would have to much spring pressure and not open and close properly. I'm sure any of the engine builder could tell you if you contact them.
