If you could buy a Mustang today with a $50k budget, which would you choose and why? For me, I'd be looking at one that I know may not lose a lot of value and could potentially increase in value. I will be retiring in the next 7 years so I'm not one that needs a car with 800 hp and goes 200 mph. Maybe a 93 Cobra. Terminator Cobra. 2007-2011 Shelby GT500.

My vote is a 93 Cobra or a vintage fast back. I’m partial to fox body cars and will absolutely never sell my 93 Cobra. If you aren’t looking for a hellcat killer and just want a fun cruiser that is appealing to the eyes and not on every corner, I suggest either of the two I proposed.

I already have my bucket list fox body, or I would certainly vote for the 93' Cobra. My next mustang will be a GT 500, so that gets my vote.

1969 Mustang Fastback because that’s my dream car.

I would do a 69 Fastback too. Had one once but never got it to the point it was a driver for me, I only got to drive it 2 or 3 times actually. So I would get a basic 69 fastback with the 302 V8 and just enjoy it as a driver and maybe mod it so it has enough power to be fun on the street.

I would go GT500 because it is the best driver of your list. I also think a Boss 302 should be a consideration if you enjoy the drive.

03-04 due to the trunk space. Can't get that these days.

50k top dollar or ~50k where you can push it to 55-58k?

I would say 13-14 GT500 would be my top choice but those are high 50's/low 60's depending on miles. I've seen GT350's around the same price as the 13-14 500's.

I dont know the market but one of those 65 replica cobras would be my choice if possible.

I thought the same thing because I'd like to know where people an find a 13/14 GT500 for $50k or less right now that isn't beat to hell. LOL

It depends... What do you want to do with it?

Win Shows? Road, Street, or Drag race? Autocross? Cross country cruise? Sunset cruises or fall leaf tours? Road Rally? Putt putt around with the grand kids? Ice cream on Sundays? Stare at it in the garage or drive the snot out of it? Tinker with it, light to extreme modifications, or complete restoration? Have sex in the back seat?

There's a mustang out there for you, but you need to tell us what you want to do with it.
