I believe all the Gen 5 stuff will change the inter cooler placement(on top of the blower for less heat), so would expect that would add some cost over just a blower. I went Gen4 recently, and I was told it will be the last upgrade from Whipple, that will be available for the 5.4/5.8 GT500s. They could have changed their minds, but lots of developement for a pretty mature, niche market(not like the Coyote). BTW, I have been told my Whipple screams more then whines, but I am running 2 3/4 upper and 10% lower, on E85.

^^^ I believe all of this. I know I read an article from either Lethal Performance or Ford NXT that said Gen5 was coming for GT500 soon, but I cannot find it right now. But my understanding was Gen4 rotors may be better suited for the lower revving GT500 engines, while the Gen5 rotors were better suited for higher revving Coyote engines.

That should be an interesting development. I can see a lot of benefit to that manifold configuration over what we have.

Anyone know if the case for the ten 4 changes? All I see online is a ten 4 "upgrade" to a gen 3 when you go to purchase. This leads me to believe it is the rotor pack alone?

Do we have anyone with gen 4 rotors? anyone know how it compares to the gen 3 on the dyno? thanks

Gen 5 3.0L rotors in a head unit upgrade please. Hopefully it still fits under the stock GT500 hood. I have no desire for a Coyote all in one style unit. Id be very intersted in that 3.0l to see how it performs compared to the VMP Gen 3R. I have less of an appetite for the 4.0 Whipple... I really dont want a new hood or have to **** with a spacer kit.

Well boys, we are nothing more than legacy customers at this point. Its all Coyote/Voodoo/Predator now. Was a hell of a ride, lmao

Oh well I would love to have seen a rear feed Gen 5 3.0 for the 07-13 GT5 but the Gen3 R is getting it done. So not a big loss.

Those TVS blowers are for the guys who like the smokiest of burnouts and don't run their engines up the RPM band. I like how my Whipple pulls all the way up to red line. As you said, it's still way more than a handful to control down low when you're too generous with the throttle.

Just save yourself several thousands and do a pulley and tune. I want to drop down to a 2.8" pulley on mine.

I have considered pulleying down and a mono-blade throttle body. My tuner does not recommend any smaller than a 3.0" with stock exhaust manifolds and cats, and I would not want downstream temps to climb any quicker than they already do at WOT, leading to timing being pulled. I am very picky about driveability, and the quality of mono-blade throttle bodies has become suspect over the past couple of years. I really like the sound of freeing up horsepower through efficiency and lower downstream temps. The Gen4 head unit and rotors would likely do the job, but I would like to see what develops with the Gen5.

" Your tuner " tuned both cars, there is no driveability issue, never has been. Might be a 20rwhp bump between a twin 65 & the mono, depending on your set-up.
The 11 drove just like stock, that's why a mono went on the 14..

I have a 3.4 whipple on my harley truck and it is obnoxiously loud at WOT

I would personally prefer it to be quieter if given the option

I didn't say the TVS doesn't pull to red line. I said most TVS guys are more concerned with being able to do smokey burnouts down low than running up the RPM band. All they ever talk about is "the torque hit down low." The last thing an S197 GT500 needs is more torque down low. Traction is already a problem as it is. Adding gobs of off-idle torque only exacerbates the problem on the street. Unless you live at the drag strip and everywhere you need to go is just 1/4 mile away, it's just superfluous.

Even with LCA relo's, better instant center and sticky tires my GT500 has no good grip out of the hole on the street. Better than stock, but nothing like being on prep or pimp juice.

I cant really hear my 3.4L at WOT and im running a 3.375 pulley. My exhaust is also pretty loud and I think the 11+ cars have a lot more sound dampening that eats up a lot of the sound coming from the blower. If all you want is more whine just do the foster supercharger mod and you'll get what you want.

Lethal just released a video yesterday on the new gen V blower for the gt500's Im really disappointed they stuck with a rear feed setup again. Im sure there are legit reasons why but if the gen V came as a front feed similar to the 15-17 coyotes Id consider selling my 3.4 for one but at this point Im better off building the engine and running the 3.4 until I switch to turbos.

If the inlet and plenum for the GT500 is as big as the Gen 5 Terminator, air flow to the rotors wont be an issue. That sucker looked HUGE.
