Will stock clutch cable work with firewall adjuster and AL quadrant?

I hate the feel of most (all) aftermarket clutch cables, they are never as smooth. So will the stock 03 clutch cable work with firewall adjuster and a double hook quadrant? The reason I ask is the end of the stock cable housing at the firewall is shaped differently than all the aftermarket cables.

Yes it will work, and the stock cable is the best cable for these cars.

Just the end that goes into the firewall. You have to cut off the large plastic clip and rubber piece. The adjuster may come with a clear plastic sleeve that acts as a bushing between the cable jacket end and the aduster.

yep and the stock is way better then ul get with mosed clutch kits

Thanks for the info, I can see now that the end comes off the cable at the firewall.
