wiring harness questions.

Im in the process of cleaning up my wiring harness as much as possible. Im trying to figure out what these two things are and if I need them. The harness is out of an 86 fox body GT

the first seems to be some sort of plug or resistor?

the next thing are these fusable link things, there re a couple of these. can i cut these out and replace them with wire? they take up a lot of room.

meh, I would just cut them off/replace with wire.

Hard tell from the pic but the first one looks like the speedometer plug for the trans? Is it attached to a cable instead of a wire? Follow it and if it goes to the back of the dash that's what it is.

nope the first is a plug much like the 02/sensor style plugs.
