They looked a little black and sooty when we swapped them. Not sure how much that would affect the sensors.

If you are going to replace the O2 sensors I recommend replacing both front O2 senors at once. I know it is more expensive but it can save on headaches down the road.

You should take some of your own advice and do a "search" on this topic like you always like to say. Ha Ha:-D I've personally dealt with code on plenty of customer vehicles and it's fairly straightforward to diagnose and repair provided that you know what you are doing.
