Stock 5.8. But found out the block needs to be sleeved

You'll probably pay $2,000 for sleeves and machine work. Figure another $2,000 for rods and pistons, then whatever the builder charges for assembly if you aren't doing it yourself.

Much do you think it would cost to sleave 5.8 and do pistons and rods

There's a lot of variables to that depending on which pistons, rods, builder you go with. Here's an example:

Manley Billet I-Beams - $1300.00 (a different rod may be more or less)
Diamond Pistons - $1350.00 (a different piston may be more or less)
Sleeves and Machine Work - $2500.0ish (I've seen quotes from $2500-$3000)

Time to set your HP goal and work backwards with equipment selections. I just visited a local shop changing alum back to iron on several over 1000 HP motors ???

Sleeve your 5.8
MMR 2400 Darton Sleeve
L&M 2500 Darton sleeve ,completely different install process than MMR
Accufab Custom LA Sleeve 2800 after machining on a 5.8 block

I have a 5.8 that Accufab sleeved for me after scuffing the liner .We Went back to a 5.4 due to how little material there is between cylinders on a 5.8 . 11-12 use different sleeves than 13-14 5.8 blocks .

Sulliven performance sells Manley billet rods for 1199.00 as well for anybody looking to save 100 bucks

Simply because aluminum blocks are expensive .Never seen a good 5.4/5.8 block split or break ,plus I don't think anybody needs an extra 100lbs on the front end .

I'd swap my iron block for an aluminum block any day of the week. 100 out of 100 people here aren't going to hit the HP limit of an aluminum block.

A 100lbs may not be much, but right over the front tires, I'd sure love to cut it out of there.
