I want to go with a custom o/r x-pipe with the Mac catback. Anyone ever heard a MAc catback? How do they sound?

don't go with mac, it's cheap and therefore not that great.

MAC sounds good but you'll never get perfect fitment out of it. Also, anything short of stainless in MAC products is cheap quality. I haven't seen the stainless in person but I assume it's decent.

Magnaflow or Bassani are the only options in my opinion.

Sound is GREAT. Your desicion on quality, research if you're worried, plenty of Cobra guys run Mac. You might want stainless steel if you deal with rust in your area. Fitment on my catback isn't perfect, but there's no real problems with it either.

My buddy has the same setup on his '02 GT 2V 4.6, and it sounds VERY similair to the Mach1 in this video.

Personally, I love the sound of his setup. It's pretty damn loud for stock manifolds, and gets a lot of attention from people on the street. He is definitely not sneeking up on anyone!
